Appointment of Director of Music for the Cathedral Singers, Christ Church. The Dean and Chapter wish to appoint a Director of Music to succeed Mr James Henderson. She/he will be responsible for the training and conducting of the Cathedral Singers of Christ Church. This choir of dedicated volunteers sing services during the absence of the Cathedral Choir, covering approx. 150 services during Christmas, Easter, and Summer vacations and half-term holidays; they also undertake regular concerts and occasional tours. This is an annual appointment with an honorarium. The appointment will commence from Aug. 1997. The Director will be a member of the Cathedral Singers Committee and be expected to work closely with the Choir Administrator. Closing date for applications 20 June; interviews on 15 July.
