Ida Mann Lecture

MR J. ELSTON, Oxford Eye Hospital, will deliver the seventeenth Ida Mann Lecture at 5.30 p.m. on Wednesday, 9 July, in the Witts Lecture Theatre, the Radcliffe Infirmary. The lecture will follow the Oxford Eye Hospital Alumni Meeting.

Subject: ` "To find the mind's construction in the face"—the neurology of facial and eyelid movements.'


Lecture

J. CARVER, Wollongong, will lecture at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, 16 July, in the Library, the Nuffield Laboratory of Ophthalmology.

Subject: `How does [alpha]-crystallin function as a molecular chaperone? Some insights from spectroscopic studies.'


Nuffield Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology

The following lectures will be given on Friday, 11 July, in the new venue of the Stable Block, Manor House, the John Radcliffe Hospital.

HE MR NELSON MANDELA, President of the Republic of South Africa, will lecture at 5.30 p.m. on Friday, 11 July, in the Sheldonian Theatre.

OXFORD IMMUNOLOGY GROUP

DR F. SINIGAGLIA, Roche Bioscience, Milan, Italy, will lecture at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, 16 July, in the Lecture Theatre, the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology. The meeting will be chaired by Professor Kathryn Wood.
