Enhanced Bursary: BP
Bursary details
The BP Bursary scheme was launched in 2008 as part of the expansion of the Enhanced Bursaries scheme and its first three cohorts have been a great success.
BP is one of the world’s largest energy companies with more than 97,000 people operating in over 100 countries and six continents. It has a network of 17 wholly or partly owned refineries, 15 million customers every day and is currently producing around 3.9 million barrels of oil equivalent per day. In this age of growing global demand and environmental urgency, they are looking at new and better ways of delivering energy to the world without compromising the planet.
The aim of the bursary scheme is to increase the existing strong links between BP and the University of Oxford by providing additional financial support to students who excel academically and have an interest in the Energy sector.
The BP bursary is one of the Enhanced Bursaries offered by the University of Oxford in conjunction with external sponsors. The bursaries offer additional financial assistance along with contact with major organisations to Oxford Opportunity Bursary holders.
