Adams Bursary

This bursary has been established by the Adams Bursary Fund to provide funding for final year undergraduates from St Hilda’s College and John’s College who are in need of financial assistance. Academic merit will also be taken into consideration. This bursary has been made possible by a benefaction to the University in memory of Reginald and Frieda Adams.

Eligibility Criteria

Applications are open to those students who fulfil the following criteria:

  • Students must be attending either St Hilda's College or St John's College.
  • Students must be in their final year of an undergraduate degree.
  • Students must be in receipt of the Oxford Opportunity Bursary when commencing their final year of study.
  • Awards will be made on the basis of financial need.

Applicants who do not fulfil these criteria will not be considered for an award 

Award

There are two awards valued at £1,000 available for 2011/12 and these will be awarded for one year only. 

Please note that applying for an Adams Bursary does not affect your entitlement to an Oxford Opportunity Bursary.

How to Apply & Deadline Information

Eligible students will be contacted at the start of Michaelmas Term 2011. The application form should be completed and returned to Student Financial Support by 12 noon on Friday 11 November 2011.
