Gaisford Graduate Dissertation Prize for Greek or Latin Language and Literature
A prize will be awarded for a dissertation submitted as part of the examination for the M.St. or M.Phil. in Greek and/or Latin Languages and Literature or, provided that it is on a Greek and/or Latin topic, for the M.St. or M.Phil. In General Linguistics and Comparative Philology.

Gaisford Prizes for Greek Prose and Verse
Prizes will be awarded for translation from English into Greek Prose and Greek Verse (any suitable metre). The prizes are open to all members of the University who on the closing date for submission of entries will not have exceeded six years from the date of their matriculation. The prizes will not be awarded a second time to the same person.

| How to apply: | The passages set for translation may be found in WebLearn. Entries for the prizes should be sent to the Academic Adminstrative Officer, Classics Centre, 66 St Giles', Oxford OX1 3LU, on or before Friday, 3 May 2013. Candidates should submit three copies of their composition, preferably typewritten or word- processed. They are asked to distinguish their compositions by a motto or pseudonym, not by their own name; and to attach a sealed envelope, with the same motto or pseudonym written on it, containing a separate note of their name, college, and date of matriculation. |
Gaisford Undergraduate Essay Prize for Greek Language and Literature
A prize will be awarded for a thesis in the field of Greek Language and/or Literature submitted within the Honour Schools of Literae Humaniores, Classics and English, Classics and Modern Languages, or Classics and Oriental Studies.
