Man is a world-leading alternative investment management business, with a broad range of funds for institutional and private investors globally, known for differentiated performance, innovative product design and strong distribution relationships.
Man's investment management expertise extends from single managers such as Man AHL and GLG to fund of funds managers such as Man Multi-Manager, with expertise in a wide range of liquid investment styles including managed futures, equity, credit, emerging markets, global macro and fund of funds, combined with powerful product structuring, distribution and client service capabilities.
The Man Group Bursary is designed to provide extra financial assistance to students who excel academically and have an interest in the finance sector.
The Man Group Bursary is one of the Enhanced Bursaries offered by the University of Oxford in conjunction with external sponsors. The bursaries offer additional financial assistance along with contact with major organisations to Oxford Opportunity Bursary holders.
Eligibility
Applications are open to students who are:
- in their first year of study
- in receipt of an Oxford Opportunity Bursary (Home/EU students) or ordinarily resident in the UK and have a household income of less than £42,600 at the time of application
- studying one of the subjects specified as either a three or four-year course:
Computer Science; Economics and Management; Engineering Science; Engineering and Computing Science; Engineering, Economics and Management; Materials Science; Materials with Economics and Management; Mathematics; Mathematics and Computer Science; Mathematics and Philosophy; Mathematics and Statistics; Physics; or Physics and Philosophy - Preference will be given to those not already in receipt of an industry-sponsored award or the Moritz-Heyman Scholarship
Award
£1,000 per annum for the usual length of the course made on the grounds of academic ability and interest in the financial sector.
Up to 15 awards will be made in 2012/13.

Results
All candidates will be notified of the outcome of their application by the end of Hilary term 2013.
