Research Councils

The seven UK Research Councils are publicly funded bodies that support research and studentships across range of subject areas. High numbers of awards are received by our graduates in recognition of the quality of the world-class research carried out at Oxford.

Some colleges also provide partnership awards linked to Research Council awards. Details are available on the Research Council college partnership award webpage.

Research Councils offer full scholarships (covering fees and living expenses) to UK nationals and to EU students who can satisfy UK residency requirements. EU nationals who do not meet the residency requirements may be eligible for a fees-only award.

For full details about eligibility requirements and how to apply, please use the individual Research Council links below. If you have any questions, contact details for the relevant University staff are also provided.
