This scholarship is funded by a generous donation from Mrs Ioana Ertegun and the Ahmet Ertegun Education Trust. The Ahmet Ertegun Education Trust aims to enable academically outstanding graduates of Bogazici University in Turkey to undertake Master's level study at Oxford.
One scholarship will be awarded for some one-year taught graduate degrees in the Humanities and Social Sciences, and will last 1 year.
Am I eligible?
Applicants must be of Turkish descent and graduates of Bogazici University.
Candidates should be applying to start a new graduate course at Oxford in Humanities or Social Sciences. The eligible courses are those which have a university fee of £12,200 in 2010-11. See the Fees section for more information.

What does it cover?
100% of university and college fees, and a grant for living costs (the rate in 2010-11 is £11,700)
The award is tenable for one year only.
How do I apply?
Apply at the same time as you apply to Oxford by selecting Ahmet Ertegun Bogazici Award in the Funding Section of the University's Graduate Application Form. Candidates should apply by Application Deadline 2: 7 January 2011 for Medical Sciences and Philosophy; 14 January 2011 for Said Business School applicants; 21 January 2011 for all other subjects.
You must also complete the AErtegun Bogazici Statement 1112 (see downloads) by the application deadline in order for your application to be complete.
If you do not apply in full by the deadline, you will not be considered for the scholarship, even if you have selected Ahmet Ertegun Bogazici on the Graduate Application Form.
How will I know if I have been successful?
The Ahmet Ertegun Bogazici Award has now been made and the successful candidate has accepted the award. If you have not heard from us by the time this notice is posted, then your application to this scheme has been unsuccessful. Due to the volume of applications received, we are unable to contact unsuccessful applicants individually or provide feedback on their applications.
