Graduate Scholarships

The University offers a variety of scholarship programmes based on academic excellence, giving the brightest candidates from around the world the opportunity to pursue graduate study. Over 1,000 fully-funded scholarships are available for new master’s and doctoral students in 2014 from the University, our colleges and supporters. This includes the groundbreaking Oxford Graduate Scholarships, funded in partnership between generous donors and the University, which will provide up to 130 scholarships over the next few years.

You should start looking for funding as soon as you decide to apply to Oxford. The first place to look is the Fees, Funding and Scholarship Search, which shows the wide range of graduate scholarships offered by the collegiate University. Further information is available from the Search results, which link directly to relevant scholarship webpages, or from the links below.

Before applying for scholarships, you should read the eligibility criteria thoroughly and make sure you submit your application by the correct deadline. Most fully funded scholarships are only available to students who are about to start a new course. Once you are on course, there are very few substantive scholarships available, so it is vital to explore your options early.
