Students with disabilities

Students from the UK Channel Islands or the Isle of Man with a disability are eligible for the government-funded Disabled Students' Allowances (DSAs). The University's Disability Advisory Service funding page has full details about DSAs and how to apply for funding. You can also get information about DSAs from the DirectGov DSAs webpage.

If you have a disability and receive funding for your studies, you are advised to contact the funding provider as soon as possible after being offered funding to find out whether they are able to make any support available to you. The seven UK Research Councils make support available to graduate students in receipt of full funding; please contact the University's Disability Advisory Service for more information. As of October 2009, holders of a Clarendon Fund scholarship are eligible for support if they have a disability. Please contact Student Funding for more information.

Home students can also apply to the Access to Learning Fund for disability related costs not covered by DSAs.
