Johannes Brahms: Violin Sonata no. 3 in D minor, Op. 108

Born in 1992, Savitri Greir is an alumna of Christ Church, from where she graduated with First Class Honours in Music. She is currently completing her Artist Diploma at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
Last season Savitri gave recitals and took part in masterclasses across Europe, made her debut at Carnegie’s Weill Hall and appeared as soloist with the Bournemouth Symphony, English Chamber, Welsh National Opera and Birmingham Sinfonia Orchestras. Engagements this season include a return to Wigmore Hall and her debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in a series of performances of the Mendelssohn Concerto.
Like Savitri, Richard Uttley is forging a career as a soloist with a particular commitment to new music. He also has been selected for the Young Classical Artists’ Trust.
Their programme for SJE goes beyond Vienna with two pieces rooted in East European folklore.
