A concert of a cappella, jazz and funk in aid of the charity Doctors for Madagascar. Featuring three of Oxford’s finest student ensembles: a cappella groups The Oxford Gargoyles and The New Men as well as funk legends Dot’s Funk Odyssey!

Founded in 2011 by a group of German doctors, Doctors for Madagascar sends doctors and equipment to the south of Madagascar, one of the poorest countries in the world. The doctors who travel to Madagascar are highly qualified and work fourteen-hour days for free, while the charity itself has minimal running costs. DFM has built a hospital in a town called Fotadrevo which is the only surgical hospital for approximately one million people, and urgently needs funds to be able to continue its work. The charity calculates that the cost of a life-saving surgery in Fotadrevo in terms of essential equipment and medication is approximately £50, meaning that this is one of the cheapest and easiest ways imaginable to directly save lives.
