In the light of the growing problem of new forms of slavery in the modern world, and the draft ‘Modern Slavery Bill’ now before Parliament, Regent’s Park College will be hosting a speech on Modern Slavery by Karen Bradley MP, Minister for Modern Slavery and Organised Crime.

There will also be the opportunity to view the very successful exhibition by The Angus Library and Archive held in Regent’s last term, entitled ‘Slavery: The Historical and Modern Perspectives’. This includes original manuscripts and texts from The Angus, with other sobering artefacts documenting the horrors of the slave trade and the efforts of the abolition movement to suppress it.
