Händel Concerto Op 4 No 2

Baker Improvisation

Widor Symphonie V

Merton College Chapel’s new Dobson organ is a fantastic addition to Oxford's musical life. Now one year old, one of Britain’s true organ virtuosos, Martin Baker (Director of Music at Westminster Cathedral), plays two undisputed masterworks of the organ repertoire: Bach’s monumental Passacaglia in C minor, and Widor’s Symphonie V. Baker is also famous for his astonishing improvisations, and will demonstrate his artistry in this too. An event not to be missed!

Concert ends: 9.15pm. There will be no interval
