A one-day, multi-disciplinary event exploring the lyric form and its interactions across music and poetry.
Hosted by the Ertegun Scholarship Programme and the Archive of Performances of Greek and Roman Drama (APGRD), with the kind support of the Oxford Song Network, the day brings together academics and performers from different disciplines (including Classicists, English and German literary specialists, musicologists, musicians and poets) and centres around a lecture-recital given by renowned musicians Stephan Loges (bass-baritone) and Natasha Loges (piano).
Tickets are £15 (or £10 for students/concessions) - this price includes a sandwich lunch, coffee and biscuits throughout the day, and a drinks reception.
