Beeban Kidron OBE is a British filmmaker who has spent the last 30 years working in feature film, television drama and documentary. Her feature films include 'Bridget Jones, Edge of Reason' and the BAFTA winning 'Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit'. She is the co-director of Cross Street Films. In 2006, Kidron co-founded the educational charity IntoFilms (previously Film Club), which has set up over 8000 film clubs across the UK. In 2012, she was appointed to the House of Lords where she sits as a Crossbench Peer and has a special interest in young people, the arts and social justice issues.
