The Escher String Quartet has received acclaim for its profound musical insight and rare tonal beauty. The group was a BBC New Generation Artist 2010-12 and, in its home town of New York, serves as Artists of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.
In 2013 it became one of the few chamber ensembles to be awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant. Since its inception in 2005, the group has performed in USA, Australia, Hong Kong and is making an increasing impression in Europe with debuts in Paris, Amsterdam and Geneva. It has collaborated with artists including David Finckel, Leon Fleischer, David Shifrin and guitarist Jason Vieaux. Last season, it undertook an extensive UK tour with pianist Benjamin Grosvenor.
