Stephen Fabes is a medical doctor who has spent the last six years cycling across six continents, crossing 75 countries and riding a distance equivalent to more then twice the circumference of the earth, or 25 times the Tour de France.
En route he visited remote medical projects aimed at treated marginalised communities - nomads, refugees, victims of violence, those with mental illness, infectious and deforming disease, the homeless, the disabled, drug addicts, sex workers and slum dwellers. He's a journalist, working on his first book.
Stephen will be talking on Tuesday 3rd May with the OUEC. Check out his website and incredible photographs here http://www.cyclingthe6.com
The event is open to everyone, hosted by the Oxford University Exploration Club (OUEC). Cost is £5 on the night for non-members, free for members. Membership can be bought on the night.
