Corporate Social Responsibility and Eco-Justice
Western multinational corporations consider CSR as a "win-win strategy" in order to foster sustainable development. The presentation will build on field work carried out in Nigeria for the past 10 years to assess the impact of oil production and of CSR projects on development. We show the deadlocks of the conception of CSR inspired by some utilitarian as well as contractualist thoughts and favour a perspective rooted in a relational eco-justice.
