Mustafa Barghouti, Nobel Peace Prize nominee and General Secretary of the Palestinian National Initiative, will be in conversation with Edward Mortimer about the future of Palestine. Mustafa Barghouti has been an active member in Palestinian politics for decades, taking part in the Madrid Conference as well as the intifadas, and serving as a doctor during the wars in Gaza. He is currently a Palestinian MP, member of the PLO’s Central Council, and General Secretary of the Palestinian National Initiative. Edward Mortimer, is a Distinguished Fellow, All Souls College; and former speechwriter and director of communications for UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan. Given Dr. Bargouti and Edward Mortimer’s unique insights into many aspects of Palestinian politics and life this is guaranteed to be a fascinating discussion.
