Climate change is happening fast and may have a large impact on investment values. The growing debate about fossil fuel divestment is a signal that investors are slowly waking up to this threat, but the he traditional model of engagement between investors and the companies in which they invest is ill-suited to deal with this risk. We propose a more active model that we call 'Forceful Engagement'. In this lecture Howard Covington and Raj Thamotheram will present the findings of their latest paper "How Should Investors Manage Climate-Change Risk".
