The Oxford University Museum of Natural History was built as an experiment to combine Gothic architecture, Pre-Raphaelite art and modern technology in one comprehensive vision of the natural world. Professors John Holmes (Birmingham) and Janine Rogers (Mount Allison) will give a guided tour of the Museum, showing how its spaces, carvings and even the materials it is made of showcase and interpret the natural world. The tour will include an exhibition of designs for the Museum by John Ruskin and the Pre-Raphaelites.
