Professor Margaret MacMillan is a historian of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. She is the author of 'Peacemakers: The Paris Peace Conference of 1919 and Its Attempt to End War' (2001) and 'The War that Ended Peace: How Europe abandoned peace for the First World War' (2013). A frequent commentator on twentieth-century and current international relations, she was made Officer of the Order of Canada in 2006 and promoted to Companion in 2016. Margaret MacMillan was professor of History at Ryerson University, Provost of Trinity College and professor of History at the University of Toronto, and is currently Warden of St Antony's College, Oxford.
