In June 2018, a team from the University of Sheffield left for the the Ala-Archa national park, part of the Tien Shan mountain range in Kyrgyzstan. Their expedition undertook four weeks of important research, requiring arduous trekking through one of the Earths lesser explored corners. The expedition's main objective was to discover the nature of changing climate within the Ala Archa National Park. They journeyed into the heart of this wilderness in the hope of conquering its alpine ridges to discover the secrets of how climate change is affecting this vital water resource.
