Transport options for central Oxford
Direct services run from London Paddington (serving Oxford station) and London Marylebone (serving Oxford and Oxford Parkway stations). Other services operate from the north via Birmingham New Street, from the south via Reading and from the west via Didcot or Reading. Oxford station is a 5-10 minute walk from the centre of Oxford.

Coach and bus
Local bus services are run by Oxford Bus Company and Stagecoach. Oxford Bus Company is providing free transport on the city5 and city8/9 routes in Oxford on Friday 29 September from 11am onwards for all Curiosity Carnival ticket holders. Find out more.
Driving and parking
Parking in the city centre of Oxford is very limited. We recommend using one of the five Park & Ride car parks:
- Peartree (north)
- Redbridge (south)
- Seacourt (east)
- Thornhill (west)
- Water Eaton (Oxford Parkway station)
Getting to and from Wytham Woods
Wytham Woods is a 20 minute drive from central Oxford and you will need your own transport. There is parking at the site.
