Enhanced Bursaries: Opportunities for First Years

The University of Oxford offers Enhanced Bursaries in conjunction with four external donors.  The bursaries offer additional financial assistance along with contact with the sponsoring organisations to Oxford Opportunity Bursary holders.

There are currently over 70 undergraduates who are Enhanced Bursary holders and a further 40 bursaries will be allocated to first years in January 2010.

Please note no IBM bursaries will be allocated to new students in 2009 but existing holders will continue to receive their bursaries.

General Eligiblity Criteria

Applications are open to students who are in their first year of study and who are in receipt of an Oxford Opportunity Bursary.  Applicants must be studying the subjects specified by the sponsoring organisation.

Additional Information

Application forms for 2009/10  Enhanced Bursaries will be sent to all first year Oxford Opportunity Bursary holders by the end of Michaelmas Term 2009, forms will also be available for download from the link at the top of this page.  Although students can apply for more than one bursary they will not be awarded more than one.

Please note if you are not granted an Enhanced Bursary, this does not affect your entitlement to an Oxford Opportunity Bursary.
Deadline

The closing date for complete application (including tutor's statement)  is noon on January 29 2010.  Applications received after this date will not be considered in any circumstances.
