Oxford Opportunity Bursaries were established in 2006 to assist UK students from lower income households with the cost of undergraduate study at the University of Oxford. Nearly 2000 bursaries have been awarded in 2008/09 to undergraduates, PGCE students, and Graduate Entry Medical students, investing over £4.5 million in these Oxford students.

In order to make the scheme as accessible as possible there is no application for the bursary scheme. When applying for UK government funding you and your sponsors/parents must agree to share the data relating to your household income assessment with the University, once the University has received this data a letter will be sent to eligible students informing them of their bursary for that year.  PGCE students have a different household income criteria, and bursary level, which reflects the different financial package available to these students.

If you are interested in the scheme please ensure you read the eligibility information provided.
