Ahmet Ertegun Memorial Scholarship (for undergraduates)

Student funding iconThe Ahmet Ertegun Memorial Scholarship (for undergraduates) was established by the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund to provide funding for Turkish students who would otherwise not be able to afford to come to Oxford. The Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund was established in memory of Ahmet Ertegun, co-founder of Atlantic Records. It is intended that at any one time there will always be an undergraduate studying at Oxford who is funded from this scholarship programme.

Residency: Turkish citizens ordinarily resident outside of the EEA
Fee status: Overseas
Level of study: Undergraduate
Year of study: New students
Subject:All subjects except medicine
Colleges:All colleges 
Other criteria:Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of financial need and academic merit. Applicants should be intending to return to their country of ordinary residence following their studies.

What does it cover?

Duration: 3 or 4 years depending on course length 
Value:University fees and college fees, a grant for living expenses and one return air fare per year
Number: One award will be available

Other information

  • Scholars will be expected to write an annual report about their academic and social activities, and achievements at the University.
  • Receipt of the award in subsequent years is subject to satisfactory academic progress.
