Oxford Pathways Programme
The Pathways Programme is an initiative coordinated by the Colleges of the University of Oxford, with support from the Sutton Trust. The programme aims to provide information, advice and guidance on higher education and Oxford to academically able students, and staff members, in non-selective state schools with little history of student progression to Oxford. All of our events are run in Oxford, and are free to attend.
Is my school eligible?
We work with specifically targeted state schools across the UK. On the whole these are schools without sixth forms, or schools with little, if any, history of sending students to Oxford. If you would like to check whether your school is eligible please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Year 10 Taster Days:These days run from February to May and give academically able year 10 students a chance to visit Oxford for a taste of what it would be like to study here. The programme includes an introduction to higher education and student finance, interactive sessions with current students, lunch served in the college dining hall, and participation in an academic activity. Please apply using our online application form. Applications close at 5pm on Thursday 12 December 2013 and places are allocated after this date. Please read the frequently asked questions before booking (FAQs 2014 (206 kb) ). If you have any questions about Taster Days please contact Emma on email@example.com.
Year 11 Investigating Options Day:
Applications for the 2013 Investigating Options events have now closed. Further information about 2014 events will be posted here in July.
Any questions about year 11 events should be addressed to Ashley on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Year 12 Study Days:Year 12 Study Days offer students the chance to experience their chosen subject through a day of academic sessions run by Oxford tutors. The next events are planned for 18, 19 and 20 March 2014. For information on the selection criteria and the subjects available please see the guidance notes (Guidance on study days.pdf (290 kb) ). Once you have read the guidance notes you can apply for a place at www.uniq.ox.ac.uk/PathwaysStudyDay. Students offered a place on the study days will also be offered application support and advice throughout the academic year.
Year 12 students should apply for a place directly, rather than through their school, but must have the support of a teacher. The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 31 January.
If you have any questions about the Study Days please email Joe or Alice on email@example.com.

The next event will be in September 2014.
