University open days
Come and see us and find out for yourself what Oxford is really like.
Details of events taking place on our open days will be available here from May. You do not need to register in order to attend our University open days. A few events, such as some of those with tutors, may require booking. In order to arrange this you need to contact the college or department running the event as there is no centralised booking. However, most of our events including college tours are drop-in, so you are very welcome just to turn up.
Planning your open day visit
Oxford University open days in 2014 will be on the following days:
Wednesday, 2 July
Thursday, 3 July
Friday, 19 September
It is easy to feel that there is just too much to do and see at our open days. In our experience people who plan their day in advance often feel they have made the most of their visit and we have tried here to give you the information you require in order to feel able to do this.
Booking for events
In order to avoid disappointment, please do check whether or not you need to book in advance for events you are interested in. Due to high demand, some colleges and some departments require advance booking for events and may only have places for students. Colleges may also offer accommodation and lunch to those who book with them, and this is a great way to experience Oxford life. Parents and students' companions unable to attend events are very welcome to visit the Open Day Information Centre at the Examination Schools in the High Street where there will be information desks all day and talks in the afternoon and which will be open 09.00-17.00.
There are also many events where booking is not required, and you are welcome just to drop in.
