Partnerships

The University of Oxford works in partnership with other Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in order to provide better resources and share best practices.

Presently we are working with both Oxford Brookes University and Buckinghamshire New University under the banner of Study Higher in order to develop some post-Aimhigher activity in addition to our existing portfolios. More detailed information on what our institutions is available through our individual websites, or by clicking the 'Study Higher' logo on the right.

We also collaborate with  Liverpool and Bath universities on some of our programmes. This usually involves a visit or overnight stay to these universities and it allows our young participants  to get an in-depth look at other campuses, the area in which they are situated, and the wide variety of courses available to them. We are also in discussions with Winchester University regarding a collaboration on our respective young carers programmes.

If you are an HEI and would like any further information or to discuss a possible collaboration, we are always happy to have a chat about our best practices and how we run our programmes.  Please email Tara Prayag to arrange a meeting.

Please see below for details on upcoming partnership events.

Study Higher: Teacher's & Adviser's Conference

Managing a changing Careers Education Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) landscape

Monday June 17 2013

A FREE conference for KS4 and KS5 teachers and careers advisers, jointly delivered by the universities of Oxford, Oxford Brookes and Bucks New University. The conference will explore the implications of a changing CEIAG landscape and consider the extent to which the raising of the participation age (RPA) will act as a catalyst for raising aspirations. Workshops will afford delegates the opportunity to meet with university colleagues from a range of different areas including Careers, Student Support and Outreach and to discuss opportunities to work in partnership to raise aspirations and attainment and to support progression to higher education. Confirmed keynote speakers are Katharine Horler, Chief Executive Adviza Partnership and Hilary Omissi (OBE), Director Raising Participation Partnership.
