Community Engagement
In addition to the Residential Programmes and Workshops run by the Widening Participation team, we are also engaged in some community endeavours.
In 2011 the Widening Participation team supported Oxford community events such as Oxford Science Festival, Oxford City Careers Festival and the Cowley Road Carnival. Staff and students from across the university helped to deliver a number of educational activities for children and parents focused on science, maths, international awareness and careers.
Cowley Road Carnival
We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a stall at the Cowley Road Carnival again this year!
The Carnival is taking place on Sunday July 7th 2013, and we will be in South Parks from approximately 10:00 - 15:00.
The theme this year is Wheels of Change. We will have a range of fun, educational and free activities available to take part in, including:
- arts & crafts
- creative writing and poetry competitions
- games
- spot prizes
