US & Canada

The University of Oxford is currently home to over 160, full degree, undergraduates from North America. We seek to recruit the most academically gifted students from the region.

Our students receive an intensive education, including our distinctive tutorials, and are taught by academic leaders in their field. Colleges provide multidisciplinary communities within which students are supported and intellectually challenged, and have the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life and many different countries.

The Student Recruitment Team visit North America in Spring and Fall to provide information, advice and guidance to students, parents and counsellors wishing to find out more about studying at our institution. Our activity in the region centres around delivering dedicated information sessions and attending college fairs. When available, we may also be able to make individual appointments or Skype presentations.

See below for a summary of our activity and links to finding out more.

Attending your information session was invaluable in helping our son prepare for application.

Our activity in your area

Spring

Canada Tour: Taking in three provinces, these information sessions are open to anyone in the region considering studying with us at Undergraduate level. For dates and to book a place at an information session please see our Canada Tour page.

US Fairs: We attend a number of college fairs in Washington and New York in late April. Check with your school to see if we are scheduled to attend your fair. We may be able to arrange an individual appointment outside of the fairs, please email  international.recruitment@admin.ox.ac.uk to register your interest.

Fall

US Tour: The US Tour is delivered in conjunction with The University of Edinburgh. We visit major cities on the East and West Coasts, asking one school to act as a host for the local area. Students, parents and counsellors can find out more about studying in the UK in general and at both institutions in particular. To see where we visited last fall please visit US Tour 2012.

National Association of College Admissions Counsellors: The US Tour in September usually concludes with us attending the NACAC Conference. In previous years we have delivered a session at this conference and hope to do so again in 2013. We always exhibit at the College Counsellors Fair at NACAC so do stop by our booth.

We are always happy to hear from Counsellors, Students or Parents who want to find out more about studying with us.
