Open days
The University open days
are the best time to visit Oxford when many of the colleges and
departments are open to visitors. There are opportunities to meet staff
and students, to hear a range of presentations and talks, and to tour
inside buildings that are not usually open to the public.
Guided tours
If
you are not able to visit on an open day, there are plenty of ways to
find out more. You may like to come on one of our guided tours. These
tours give you chance to see inside a particular college or department
with a member of staff, and to ask any questions you may have about
applying to Oxford. These tours take place during the UK school and
college holidays, and on various other dates throughout the year.
The next tours will take place during the week commencing 15 February 2010 and then during the Easter school holidays. Details of which colleges and departments you can visit will be available nearer the time. Read more about guided tours and how to book.
Audio tours
We
also have audio admissions tours available for you to download to your
mp3 player. You can listen to these tours at any time you like,
whenever you are able to visit Oxford, such as at the weekend or in the
summer holidays. There are several routes to choose from: each route
covers a different subject area, a selection of undergraduate colleges
and takes you to a number of other University locations, like the
Bodleian Library. You'll also be able to hear from a student what it's
like to live and study at Oxford, and find out more about how to apply
and what the interview process is like. Read more about audio tours and how to download them.
