To celebrate 2019 as the International Year of the Periodic Table we are developing some exciting new activities for KS4 students.

Registration closes on Monday 4th February.
Schools will be notified if they have been allocated places by Friday 8th February.

Audience:
Year 10/11 students with a strong interest in science

Schools are required to ensure that the gender balance of students selected matches that of their school.

Bookings need to be through the school and will be limited to 8 students per school; students must be accompanied by a teacher.

Priority will be given to state schools with little or no history of sending students to Oxford.

DRAFT programme:

9.45-10.00 - arrive and register
10.00-10.15 - welcome talk
10.15-11.00 - lecture
11.15-12.45 - practical lab - reactions of lead and UV/Vis
12.45-1.30 - lunch (please bring a packed lunch)
13.30-14.45 - classroom workshop - building the periodic table
14.45-15.00 - evaluation
15.00-15.45 - optional tour of the chemistry department
