KS3 Periodic Table Day

To celebrate 2019 as the International Year of the Periodic Table we are developing some exciting new activities for KS3 students.

Registration closes on Monday 4th February.
Schools will be notified if they have been allocated places by Friday 8th February.

Students who will benefit most from these sessions are those who are able to quickly take on new ideas. We would like you to consider students who currently do not think that science is 'for them' as well as those with a strong science background.

Bookings need to be through the school and will be limited to 8 students per school; students must be accompanied by a teacher.

Schools are required to ensure that the gender balance of students selected matches that of their school.

Priority will be given to schools with little or no history of sending students to Oxford.

9.30-10.00 - arrive and register
10.00-10.50 - classroom workshop - building the periodic table
break
11.00-11.50 - practical workshop 1
break
12.00-12.50 - practical workshop 2
lunch (please bring a packed lunch)
13.30-14.15 - science show
evaluation and depart
