Information Seminars - Open for booking!
These Oxford & Cambridge Information Seminars are designed to inform prospective applicants about about the two universities. They aim to:
- Provide an insight into the universities, so students get an idea if we might be the place for them
- Include information about personal statements, interviews, and super-curricular activities, enabling students to maximise their chances of applying successfully
- Enable teachers to gain a deeper understanding of how to support their students through Teacher References, with a separate session delivered by an Admissions Tutor (only available at specific events)
These Information Seminars are available for students in S4/S5. Students may register individually, or a school may register a number of students as a group.

The University organises free Regional Teachers’ Conferences across the UK in June/July each year. The aims of the conferences are to equip teachers with the best possible advice for their students on applying to Oxford and to break down any misconceptions that might deter students from applying to the University. The programme for the conferences covers all aspects of the admissions process from identifying candidates to writing references and preparing candidates for admissions tests and interviews.

Events in Oxford
UNIQ Summer School
UNIQ is a programme of free summer schools at the University of Oxford, that is open to students studying in their first year of further education (S5) and who are based at UK state schools/colleges.
Students apply for a specific course that aims to give them a realistic view of Oxford student life. UNIQ participants live in Oxford college/annexe for one week in the summer. They attend lectures and seminars in their chosen subject, and workshops about applying to Oxford. Participants also take part in a variety of social activities in the evenings.
Applications open in December each year. If you are interested in being part of a UNIQ summer school in 2019 please visit www.uniq.ox.ac.uk for details.
Teachers' Summer School
The Oxford Teacher Summer School is a two-day residential conference in Oxford for teachers at state-funded schools and colleges in the UK. The conference aims to support teachers to stretch and challenge their most able students, and equip them with the best possible advice and guidance on selective university admissions.
There are 80 places available at the conference for both humanities and STEM teachers. We particularly welcome applications from schools with a limited history of sending students to selective universities generally and Oxford specifically. Participation in the conference is free and includes two nights’ accommodation in an Oxford college and meals. We can also offer a contribution towards the travel and cover costs associated with attending.
For further details please visit www.ox.ac.uk/teachersummerschool.
The next University-wide Open Days for undergraduates will be held on Wednesday 3 July 2019, Thursday 4 July 2019 and Friday 20 September 2019. Students, parents and teachers are invited to spend a whole day in Oxford, attending events, talking to staff and students and getting answers to any questions which remain after examining prospectuses and websites. For further details please see our Open Days webpage www.ox.ac.uk/opendays.
