The English Faculty is delighted to invite you to the second annual English Teachers’ conference, taking place on Saturday 25th April 2020 at the University of Oxford’s English Faculty and surrounding colleges.

The event is primarily intended for English teachers responsible for years 7 – 13, working in UK state schools. Teachers from sixth form and FE colleges are also very welcome, as are careers advisors and tutors responsible for progression to Higher Education.

The conference is free to attend, and will include a complimentary lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

Delegates are welcome to arrive from 09:00 and the event will end at 16:30. The conference will comprise of two mini academic lectures, a college tour, information on English resources to use in the classroom, and advice on supporting your students to make competitive applications to study English at Oxford. New to the programme this year will be an interactive panel discussion where we will invite questions and comments from delegates.

To express your interest in attending this event, or to ask any questions, please email Rebecca Costello, the English Faculty’s Outreach Officer, on [email protected] by Friday 27th March 2020.

Teachers from all school types are welcome to register interest in this event. We will give priority to teachers and educational professionals who work within state schools, sixth forms and FE colleges, but will admit independent schools if there is space available after registration closes at the end of March 2020.
