This free one-day conference is organised by Merton College, Oxford, in collaboration with Downing College, Cambridge, and aims to support state school teachers with the application process for all higher education institutions. It will include sessions on personal statements and teacher references as well as specific support for students applying to Oxford and Cambridge. It is most suitable for Senior Leaders in charge of KS5, Heads of Sixth Form and Heads of Year 12 and 13.

Sessions will be delivered by the Higher Education Access Network (HEAN) and the schools liaison officers from Merton College, Oxford and Downing College, Cambridge. You will also have the chance to meet current undergraduate students who will talk about their own application experience.

HEAN workshops have been designed by academics and teachers and build on major findings in teacher CPD. To date, HEAN has worked with over 250 schools with 92% of teachers rating the sessions as excellent, and 100% of attendees rating the sessions as excellent or good.

There is no charge for attending this event and two places are available for each school or college. Please book your place using this online form.
