The Department of Computer Science Spring Open Day: the next event will take place on Saturday 11 May 2019 in Oxford's Mathematical Institute. Bookings will open nearer the time; please sign up to our mailing list if you would like to be notified when we open bookings.

The event allows prospective students and their families to find out more about the undergraduate Computer Science courses at Oxford, to meet current students, attend sample lectures from staff and tutors, and find out about the application process. As part of the day, prospective students will attend talks on both Maths & Computer Science, and Computer Science & Philosophy. The talks are somewhat academic in flavour, and aimed at students. Teachers and parents are also welcome. However, to allow as many students as possible to attend we ask that each prospective student only brings a maximum of one guest. If there are unusual circumstances and you wish to bring an additional guest mention this in one of the free text fields on the booking request form. Parents and guests will have the opportunity to attend talks on careers, welfare and support, as well as student finance.

This is not a university-wide open day, so other departments etc won't be open. This event follows a set timetable. There will however be an opportunity to visit the Department of Computer Science and/or a College after the formal programme closes. You will be able to express an interest in this on the booking form.

Prospective students and their guests will need to bring their own packed lunches. Tea and coffee will be freely available.

Booking is essential as there are limited spaces available. Please get in touch via [email protected] if you have any questions.
