The University organises free CPD accredited Regional Teachers’ Conferences. The conferences aim to equip teachers with the best possible advice for their students on applying to Oxford and to break down any misconceptions that might deter students from applying to the University. The programme for the conferences covers all aspects of the admissions process from identifying candidates to writing references and preparing candidates for admissions tests and interviews.
The conferences are organised by Oxford’s Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach office. Sessions are led by academic tutors and central admissions staff, all with extensive first-hand knowledge of the admissions process. Current undergraduate students will also be there to talk about their personal experiences of applying. The programme will include a mock interview session in which tutors and students demonstrate the kind of questions applicants face in interviews.
These events are open to UK based schools and colleges.
There is no charge for these events.
The conferences run from approximately 9:30am to 5:00pm. Lunch and refreshments are provided.
Due to the limited number of spaces available we can only accept one teacher from each school/college. Additional teachers from the same school/college will be placed onto a reserve list and contacted if further spaces become available.
