Wadham College

Wadham College is close to the Bodleian Library, the University Science Area, and the city centre. It has large, quiet grounds with some of the most beautiful gardens in Oxford and a fine early 17th-century quad alongside more modern buildings.

Uniquely in Oxford, Wadham combines its Junior Common Room (JCR) with its Middle Common Room (MCR) to form a Students’ Union. Graduates thus play a full part in the life of the College. The Tutor for Graduates is available for consultation and advice, and, in addition, each graduate student is allocated a College Advisor whose academic interests are close to the student’s own.

The College has a reputation for informality and lack of stuffiness. You will find in Wadham a strong sense of community, one in which you will be treated as an individual and where you will make friends from a wide variety of backgrounds and many nations.

Facilities for Students with Disabilities

Wadham welcomes students with disabilities. We advise candidates who are considering making an application to contact the Tutorial Office in advance to discuss their requirements.
