Regent’s Park College, located in the heart of the city, specialises in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. The College's beautiful quad offers a retreat from the bustle of the city but also puts the College's students just minutes from everything they will need as a graduate student.

Regent’s Park is known for its friendly atmosphere and strong sense of community. It has a thriving student population of around 200, including undergraduates, graduates, ministerial and visiting students, all of whom have exactly the same relationship to the University as students at any Oxford College.

Accommodation and meals

Some accommodation is available for graduate students, usually those in their second and third years of study; further information is available from the Bursar.

Regent’s enjoys excellent food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available in the college’s Dining Hall from Monday to Friday during term. At lunch and dinner hot meals are served, and during lunch a well-stocked salad bar is also available.

On each Friday evening during term, dinner is known as ‘Formal Hall’: students and staff wear gowns and dress more formally, and students may bring their own wine to the tables for these meals. Formal Halls are a social high point of the college week, and are usually preceded by drinks in the MCR.

Library and IT services

The library at Regent’s, open 24/7, has core collections in humanities and social sciences subjects, including its theology collection, which is one of the best in the University. There are also computers and printing facilities in the library.

Regent’s is also home to The Angus Library and Archive which contains more than 70,000 items relating to the life and history of Baptists in Britain and the wider world and the David Nicholls Memorial collection, a smaller library specialising in the politics and theology of the Caribbean and Haiti.

The College offers all full-time doctoral students desk space in college and aims to accommodate all other graduate students if possible.

Computers are available in the MCR and library, and all areas of the College have wifi access.

Sport, music and college facilities

There are numerous societies and sports teams based at Regent’s which are open to all students. Graduate students can also enjoy full use of University sports facilities, and some compete in university sports teams.

Over the last few years Regent’s has been well represented in University drama, and students have also become leading figures in some of the University’s most prestigious societies.
