There is a wide range of accommodation options available to students,
both privately and within the University, to suit a variety of different
needs and living arrangements.
College Accommodation

Many colleges are able to offer accommodation to graduate students. If you have specific requirements, such as accommodation with a partner or your family, or you have a disability, you are advised to check whether the colleges you choose can meet these requirements.
As the availability of college accommodation is limited, it is a good idea to submit your application in time for the earliest application deadline available for your programme of study.
Further details for individual colleges can be found via the College Guide.
University Accommodation

The University’s Accommodation Office can help with finding accommodation for graduate students if college accommodation is unavailable, or if they are unable to provide the type of housing needed.
The Office lets and manages 627 residential units for graduate students and, where required, their partners and families. Units are on several sites in or close to the centre of Oxford. If you have received an offer and think that you might want to consider University housing at some point during your time in Oxford, then please think about applying as early as possible.
For full details of the types of accommodation available, plus further information and application forms, please see the Accommodation Office website.
Private Accommodation

If University accommodation is not immediately available, the Oxford Student Pad site has lists of all types of accommodation in the private sector available to let to students and, where needed, their partners and/or children.
Oxford University Student Union (OUSU) produce a Living Out Guide, which includes information and advice to anyone who is looking for, or living in, private rented accommodation in Oxford. The guide covers areas of Oxford where you could live, what to look for, and what to do before you sign a contract. It also covers financial issues, legal standards, health and safety, and what to do when you move out.
