Libraries

Oxford meets the needs of its students, teachers, researchers and academic visitors with a rich and diverse range of library resources provided by more than 100 distinct libraries and extensive electronic archives.

Research and new facilities

Oxford’s position as one of the world’s strongest research universities was confirmed in the UK’s Research Assessment Exercise 2008, with Oxford having more world-leading academics (rated 4*) than any other UK university.

Museums and Botanic Garden

The Museums' collections are both an important teaching and research resource for scholars and students from the UK and abroad, and an invaluable cultural resource in themselves.

Language Centre

In any one year, about 3,000 students and staff take courses in ten foreign languages and English at the Language Centre, or use its library resources for independent study in any of the 135 languages on offer.
