University Lecturership in Marketing

SAÏD BUSINESS SCHOOL in association with Green Templeton College

The University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School seeks an outstanding candidate for the position of University Lecturership in Marketing. This is a full-time permanent faculty position based at Park End Street, Oxford. The post will be held in association with a non-tutorial fellowship at Green Templeton College based on Woodstock Road, Oxford. The salary for the position is from £43,312 p.a., compensation is internationally competitive and commensurate with qualifications.

The post of University Lecturer is the main career grade for academic faculty at Oxford and is equivalent to an American associate professorship. The title of Professor may be awarded through the regular ‘recognition of distinction’ exercise conducted by the University. The appointment will initially be for five years at which point, upon completion of a successful review, the postholder will be eligible for reappointment to the retiring age.

The school wishes to draw upon as wide a field of international marketing scholarship as possible, in order to attract a candidate of the highest calibre, aligned with the school’s commitment to excellence in business education, teaching and research. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in original, world-class research in marketing, conduct teaching and contribute to the administration of the school and the governance of the college.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding scholar and teacher of marketing with a background in one of the social and human sciences, being committed to using this to shape and guide a programme of intellectually serious research in the marketing area. Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant discipline and a track record of internationally excellent publications in highly-ranked, peer reviewed academic journals, commensurate with the candidate’s career stage. Candidates should be capable of contributing to teaching on undergraduate programmes, the MBA, the Executive MBA and on Executive Education programmes.

This is a tenure-track position.
