Professorship of Statistics
DEPARTMENT OF STATISTICS in association with Hertford College
Applications are invited for the Professorship of Statistics. It is hoped to fill the post with effect from 1 June 2014 or soon thereafter. A Professorial Fellowship at Hertford College is attached to this chair.
The successful candidate will have an outstanding record of research in modern statistical methods and will be internationally recognised for his or her research and leadership of the research community. He or she will be expected to pursue research programmes at the forefront of Statistics, and to lead and inspire colleagues. The professor will work alongside the department’s world class researchers in Statistics, contribute to the planning and delivery of undergraduate and graduate teaching programmes in Statistics and help shape departmental strategy in teaching and research.
