Honorary Degree
On 14 October, Nancy Kenny, was recognised for her tireless work for Oxford, including most recently as Director of the University’s Alumni Office. Lady Kenny was praised for her ‘hard work, determination and tact in dealing with people’.
Sheldon Medal
In November 2010 Lord and Lady Sainsbury of Preston Candover were awarded the Sheldon Medal, the University’s highest level of recognition for philanthropy, to honour their tremendous support for Oxford. Amongst their many gifts to the collegiate University, Lord and Lady Sainsbury have provided strategic financial support for the Ashmolean Museum’s recent transformation.
