New Members of the Chancellor’s Court of Benefactors

Seven new members were admitted to the Chancellor’s Court of Benefactors inrecognition of their outstanding acts ofgenerosity to the University. They were:

Mr Stelios Christodoulou, a London-basedproperty investor

Mrs Lavinia Clay, Directorof the Clay Mathematical Institute

Mr Dakis Joannou, of the Joannou and ParaskevaidesGroup, a privately owned international constructioncompany

Professor Nasser David Khalili, Director of Favermead, his privately held property company

Dr Damon Wells,CEO of Damon Wells Interests and Presidentof the Damon Wells Foundation; and Sir Robin Ibbs, Chairman of the Trustees of the DavysFamily Trust was also admitted as therepresentative of the late Dr Michael Davys.

Mr Alasdair Douglas, Senior Partner of Travers Smith, replaced Mr Christopher Bell.

Earlier in the year, Mr Tetsuji Uehiro received membership of the Court on behalf of his father, Mr Eiji Uehiro, Chairman of the Uehiro Foundation on Ethics and Education.
