Become a Widening Access and Participation Mentor

The Widening Access and Participation team run a variety of outreach initiatives focusing on children both locally and nationally.  The role of a mentor is to assist staff in the WAP team to deliver various aspects of these initiatives.

Why do we need you?

Our events could not go ahead without the support of current students, both undergraduate and postgraduate. We need you to provide a real-life perspective on the information we present; you can expect to be asked lots of questions about student life and why you chose your subject.

It's easy to get involved, from a couple of hours a week right up to paid overnight residentials -  there really is an opportunity to suit everyone.

Mentoring with you over the past three years has been the single best thing I've done whilst I've been here. It's really helped me grow as a person and be more confident. This more than anything has define my experience here at Oxford.

Current opportunities

At the moment we are not recruiting for any specific projects, but if you have a general interest in widening access and participation work please email and we will let you know of any available opportunities and how to apply for them.
